A note on what's to come...

Wow. I never thought I would catch up to this point, and I'm both anxious and excited about it. I drafted, like, two or three long explanations for what I'm posting next, but maybe it's best to let it speak mostly for itself. I will say that it's Strangerville-centered, more serious in tone, plot-oriented, and probably absurdly involved for something based on a silly game. It features a combination of new and familiar faces.

I hope someone else reads and enjoys it, but I'm doing it primarily for myself. As a creative writer who's had immeasurable difficulty actually writing over the past few years, this game is the only thing that's allowed me to exercise that part of my brain recently, and I wanted to utilize it more purposefully. As a result, this ended up being one of my favorite Sims experiences.

I'm aiming to space the posts about a week apart because I don't want to post everything I've already got written in a hurry and then have to scramble to catch up. (The posts are also very text-heavy and therefore better consumed more slowly.) In closing, I'm almost certainly never going to put this level of detail into a story again, but it will definitely inform my future approach in other ways.
